Here’s a spooky story for you to end this post. Its called “The Whispering Saw”
Jacob was a skilled woodworker, known for crafting exquisite furniture in his small, dimly lit workshop. He loved the solitude of his craft, the smell of sawdust, and the sound of his trusty circular saw. However, there was one piece in his workshop that had always intrigued him – a beautiful but ancient hand saw that had belonged to his grandfather.
One gloomy evening, as Jacob was busy carving intricate patterns into a wooden cabinet, he heard a faint whisper, like the soft rustle of leaves in a gentle breeze. He paused, looking around, but the workshop was empty, and the only light came from the flickering candles.
Shrugging it off, he continued working, but the whisper grew louder, now resembling a distant, eerie murmur. The hairs on his neck stood on end, and a chill crawled down his spine. He glanced at the old hand saw on the wall. It was vibrating slightly, as if possessed by an unseen force.
Whispering voices grew into frantic, haunting chants. They seemed to call his name, beckoning him closer to the possessed saw. Against his better judgment, he approached it, a sense of dread washing over him.
The saw lifted itself from the wall, hovering menacingly. Its blade started to move, sawing through the air as if cutting an invisible piece of wood. Jacob backed away, trembling, realizing that he was in the presence of something otherworldly.
Suddenly, the voices turned into anguished cries, and the saw started to carve strange, cryptic symbols into the wooden floor. Jacob watched in horror as the symbols glowed ominously and a dark, spectral figure materialized before him.
It was his grandfather, his eyes hollow and his face etched with despair. He whispered, “You must stop, Jacob. The saw holds an ancient curse. It seeks to trap your soul as it did mine.”
Jacob, overcome with terror, grabbed the saw and hurled it against the wall. The spectral figure let out a mournful wail and faded into the darkness.
Breathing heavily, Jacob realized that he had narrowly escaped a terrible fate. He vowed never to touch that cursed hand saw again and, instead, chose to focus on the beauty of his craft without the sinister whispering that lurked in the shadows of his workshop.
From our shop to yours, we wish you a hauntingly happy Halloween! 🎃👻🍂
